The world’s first—and only—streaming audio app dedicated exclusively to comedy, Laughly is a mecca for stand-up comedy enthusiasts, with tens of thousands of routines from the world’s best comedians, both established and emerging.

Recently named Best New Startup in the Entertainment & Content category at the 2017 SXSW (South By Southwest) Festival, and ranked among the Top 10 Apps in both the App Store and Google Play, Laughly continues to gain popularity since its August 2016 debut.

Laughly is the brainchild of San Francisco-based serial entrepreneur, tech executive, radio host and author Dave Scott, whose foray into stand-up comedy let him realize an unfulfilled niche. While many clubs give comics free audio recordings of their sets, there was no single place to upload their routines, publish albums, gain exposure and make money. Conversely, only a few years ago there was a lack of a streaming and on-demand audio app devoted solely to comedy. Scott debuted his new startup, and won an onstage opportunity to present it to investors on the TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield in New York. It officially launched to the general public in August 2016.
